Our contractual terms of work
Since 31 January 2013, instructions and briefs received by members of Arden Chambers have been governed by the Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services by Barristers to Authorised Persons 2012, please see below.
Please note that members of Chambers will only accept instructions on the basis of these terms. In accepting instructions members of Chambers cannot be taken to have agreed to any variation of these terms. In particular, members of Chambers will not enter into side agreements or variations of the terms which purport to impose any restrictions on a member’s freedom of action in relation to the use of personal data. The Bar Council has advised that any such agreement is likely to be contrary to the Bar Standards Board’s Code of Conduct.
All members and staff of Chambers take their obligations under domestic and European data protection legislation very seriously. For more information on our privacy policies, please see https://www.ardenchambers.com/privacy-and-cookies/ or feel free to contact us.
Terms of work in public access matters will be agreed in advance between the barrister concerned and the person providing instructions.
