School attendance and local authorities

Alex Campbell is featured in Local Government Lawyer commenting on the recent Supreme Court decision of Isle of Wight Council v Platt [2017] UKSC 28. In that decision, the Supreme Court considered the circumstances in which a local authority could successfully bring legal proceedings against a parent whose child had failed to attend regularly at school.
