Property - Commercial property, landlord & tenant
Sector Leader: John Robson
Commercial property is governed by real property legislation, particularly the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (Pt 2) which throws up common problems. We work with both landlords and tenants on cases relating to commercial property disputes.
We have a thorough understanding of the Act and a familiarity in working with it. Being property law experts, we are able apply our experience to interpret, explain and represent our clients on all property issues including:
- Legal formalities
- All conveyancing problems (including stamping)
- Time limits
- Use of forms and correct Court procedure
- Dilapidation disputes (during a lease and at termination)
- Ownership of land and the impact of easements and restrictive covenants
- Forfeiture - including breach of covenant and non-payment
- Damages - termination of lease
- Construction disputes

Seminars & Training
At Arden Chambers we develop seminars that focus only on developing an in-depth understanding for practical application of the law of real property.
In addition we have developed regional training and seminars that focus on propertyissues and their implications. These 'roadshows' have proved hugely popular with both regional solicitors and Local Authority teams. They are cost effective as we attend your premises/selected venue, we provide full documentation and skilled barristers for presentation.
For more detailed information on the Seminars and Training courses we have run in the past and plan for the future, and for information on how to register your interest please visit our information centre.
