Summary  David joined Arden Chambers on the successful completion of his pupilage in 2007, having joined the Bar through the “Distinguished Academic Route”.  He has been Professor of Law and Policy at the University of Bristol since 2003, where he teaches property and housing law.   He has written numerous books and academic papers, as well as having conducted research for most of the major funding bodies on property and housing issues.  His recent books include Housing Law and Policy (Cambridge, 2011) and Great Debates on Property Law (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012).  He regularly participates in training events, including the HLPA and SHLA annual conferences, and writes regularly for practitioner audiences.
